This zinnia caught my eye last weekend while I was weeding a garden bed. Not just the color of the flower and how it contrasted with the dark leaves and railroad tie, but also the tiny yellow florets in the center. Like little flowers within a flower.
Fall isn’t too far down the road, so I’m trying to enjoy the flowers while they last. How about you?
RB
What an amazing work of art, Richard, both the flower and the picture you captured of it! 💞
Very kind of you, Dawn. Thank you. 🌷
Oh wow! Youre right! It’s like tiny flowers with in a flower! And the prettiest colours too 🙂
I am, of course, looking forward to Fall! I will miss the flower posts though, but I am sure you will find some other gems to show us in all seasons 😄
I will do my best, my friend! 💐
Beautiful Zinnia.
Though fall is also beautiful,it is true we miss these lovely flowers in cold season.
I think it helps us to appreciate them more while we have them. 🙂
There were some nice zinnias near my front doorsteps. Unfortunately, a racoon was tempted by them. There’s nothing left of them. I will enjoy your photograph instead. 🙂
So sorry you lost them, Swabby. Feel free to stop by any time to enjoy this one. 🙂
That’s a really pretty flower. I love the little golden circlet of flowers. Looks like a daisy chain. I have never seen zinnias before. 🌺
Oh, I’m glad I was able to introduce you, Morag! They are lovely flowers and have done fairly well during our hot and dry summer here.
💛🙌
Ditto! Thanks for sharing, RB!
I grow a large patch of zinnias along side of a garden of mostly vegetables. I share them as cut flowers because they will hold their beauty for over a week in a vase.
They are becoming one of my favorite flowers.
Stunning
Thank you, Sheree. 🙂
What a stunning photo!
I love zinnias, and this one is absolutely beautiful with that contrast. 🌸
I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing this one, Luisa!
🙏🌹🙏
Beautiful and bright
A perfect description!
Beautiful zinnia. As much as I love fall foliage. I will miss the end of the growing season.
Same here, Pat. At least we’ll have our flower photos to look back on during the cold months. 🙂
