Beautiful collection! Nature always finds a way to brighten our surroundings. My favorite would probably be the sunflowers, they’re always full of life and joy. Thanks for sharing!

Borage bloom gets my vote. The pastel blue along with the star shape make an interesting combination. The hairy leaves and stem add to its uniqueness.

First off, I KNEW nature would take care of itself!
What a wonderful development for the rosebud! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Love the first picture too! Looks like the plant is having goosebumps of pleasure after a refreshing rain!

Also, Penelope the fertilizer – love that 🤭

I’m not sure why that other rose bloom looked the way it did, but just this week the whole plant went into bloom (I’ll post a photo next week).

Penelope has many talents. Egg layer, neighbor annoyer (with her cackling), and now gardener. 🐓

When sunflowers germinate in my half acre vegetable garden I judiciously decide which one to leave in place so birds have access to seed over the winter. I’ll sacrifice part of the garlic patch or the corn patch. The onions will be harvested before the sunflowers totally obstruct their growth. They don’t make great companions with the staked tomatoes. I definitely remove any that try to compete with the pole beans.

I try to keep the sunflowers in beds where they don’t really interfere with other plants. And I’ll let these go to see and let nature take its course. We have a family of cardinals in the back corner of the yard and I’m sure they’ll appreciate the free food. 🙂

I find the cardinals retreat when the blue jays move in. It’s interesting to see that the gentle mourning doves don’t always let the blue jays take over by holding their ground.

The majestic sunflower would have to be my favorite from these. There is a huge sunflower farm in nearby MD that makes my face hurt whenever I visit–because I can’t stop smiling.

My overall favorite flower is the humble pansy, followed closely by the water lily. This is a beautiful time of the year!

Oh, wow…I can’t imagine seeing fields of them in bloom. I can imagine it would be overwhelming…in a good way. 🙂

I do like pansy and Lillies, as well. I’ll have to see if I can find a good place to plant some.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I love borage… It’s colour, it’s taste and it’s good for the compost apparently…. But I also love sunflowers and if I could grow a big one I would be thrilled. I love roses the best. I guess almost all flowers are a delight to me.

I went to the nursery to buy borage seed and I was told that no one sells Norah seeds, they come up like weeds here but I haven’t seen any in my garden and so do roses😮 but not sunflowers.
I hope you have a great weekend.

I’m glad to know others enjoy this wonderful plant. I was warned that it might be a bit aggressive, but I have it in a large grow bag and hope to keep it contained. But even if it spreads, I won’t mind. 🙂

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, as well, my friend. 🌻
