With all the long-missed rain finally falling here in North Florida, I’m seeing more flowers popping up around my house. Here are a few photos I took this week. And no, they aren’t ALL flowers. I had to show off a few of my edibles.

Let me know if you like any of these photos and how your gardening is going so far this year.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures, Richard! I could smell and taste this post! 💞
LOL! I try to provide a full-sensory experience! 🙂
Thanks so much, Dawn.
Cosmos and blackberries make me smile.
Glad to hear that, Swabby. 🙂
beautifull picture 👌
Thank you, Neeraj. 🙂
I started transplanting tomatoes and week ago. We should be past the risk of frost by now. Rule of humb is wait till after,Queen Victoria’s birthday. (Also known as the “Two Four” weekend.
Oh, that’s right, you get cold much later in the year than I do. Hope your tomatoes take well to the transplanting, Jasper.
I love hydrangeas but don’t have ideal conditions to grow them. Just hoping my herbs, geraniums and succulents have survived my absence in this unusually hot spell.
I included the hydrangea because I remembered you said you liked them, Sheree. 🙂 Ours is still recovering from a very cold winter (it was in a greenhouse, but it still took a shock). Hoping it will bloom throughout the summer.
Fingers crossed 🤞
Nice variety of flowers, vegetables, and fruits Rain is lovely too.
Many thanks, Pat. 💐
Yay for the rain ☔ that’s fantastic.
I love the black berry photo but that’s because I am thinking of eating blueberries now. I bought two black berry bushes I need to plant this weekend. Other than that I have planted an apple tree that has two cultivars grafted . Then I have stacks of beans, rhubarb strawberries and raspberries coming on.
I hope they all produce well this year.
My flower beds are a bit shabby.
Enjoy your garden 🙋
Oh, that sounds like a wonderful garden, Morag! I only have tomatoes, peppers, blackberries, and Japanese eggplants going right now (my banana, fig, and avocado trees are still in the growing phase).
Good luck with your harvest this year! I wish I could have an apple tree here, but it’s just too warm and the soil too poor. Cheers!
Thank you, I hope the impression you get from my description isn’t elevated beyond reality. I wish I could do sustainable farming but we would not survive for very long on my produce. We’ll see what happens to my apple tree 😉
Definitely agree with “there is still beauty in decay”!
Besides, I trust that nature takes care of itself. So even when a beautiful rose fades away, another part of nature would benefit from it.
That is what I love about nature! 🙂
The bell pepper looks mouth watering though! It is one of my favourite foods. I love them raw, cooked and baked 😋
I assumed that, as a visual artist, you’d agree wth me on that, Andrea. It’s all in how the eye and the mind perceives the world. 🙂
And yes, the bell pepper is looking good! These are smaller ones, so I won’t be able to stuff them, but I may roast them and make hummus, or perhaps just bite into them raw. I just hope I can wait for them to color up a bit more!
