One of the great blogs I follow, Fox Reviews Rock, recently acknowledged me with a Golden Fox Award for being one of the top commentators on their site. I think it’s a nice way for the site to give a shout out to its followers and encourage readers to speak up in the comments section.
I follow a fair number of blogs and it can be challenging to comment on every single post, but I try my best. Reading each one, then writing a couple of lines – sometimes more – takes effort, but the way I look at it is that each blogger put time and energy into their post. The least I can do is let them know I read it and what I thought about it.
The other thing I try to keep in mind is that people can be lonely and blogging is their way of reaching out for interaction. Responding with a simple “Great post!” or “Interesting read!” is like sharing a smile and a nod with a stranger you pass on the sidewalk. It may not seem like much to you, but it may mean the world to them.
So, my thanks to Fox Reviews Rock for the smile and nod. It’s appreciated.
And in that same spirit, a shout out to some of the recent regular commentators on my blog:
Andrea from Andrea, Illustrator
Sheree from View from the Back
Luisa from words and music and stories
Dawn from Rhymes, Dreams, Fantasy and Thoughts
Thanks for stopping by, my friends.

I got one too. They’re great, aren’t they? π
Absolutely! Thanks for stopping by, Laura. π
Way to go. I love that webpage too.
Well, we have excellent taste!
Congratulations on the well deserved award, Richard! πππThank you so much for the sweet shout out as well! πππ
Thank you, Dawn, and my pleasure. π
Awards are so rewarding when they give acknowledgement for work well done. Well deserved.
So true, Jasper. Thanks!
Way to nourish community! πππ
Thank you!
I really feel the same! I try to do the same as this space is about sharing – caring acknowledging βοΈπ»
That’s great, my friend! Cheers! βοΈ
Comments are a great way to be in the loop of communication.
Very true!
Thatβs such a great idea!!!
I thought so, too, Wayne. Thanks for stopping by, mate!
Your comments and insight are greatly appreciated, Richard! You’re doing good work in the world.
That’s very kind, Michelle. Cheers!
A great thing about WordPress is that each of us develops friends/pen pals from all over the world.
Completely agree, my friend! It’s a fun social circle that continues to expand.
Many thanks for the shout out – always appreciated. If I were to hand out awards to my loyal readership, what should I call it? Sheree’s Shakedown? All suggestions welcome.
My pleasure, Sheree!
Hmm, that’s an interesting question. Sheree’s Shout-Outs? π
Mmmm, something to think about for next year.
Oh, I have one more suggestion – View from the Comments! π
Also good, I’ll bear it in mind Richard, thank you.
Loved seeing the award on your site <3 hopefully it continues to spread joy!
Thanks, mate! Just sharing the love. π

Richard d. Congratulations and thanks for the shout out. Appreciate your regular comments also. π¦π¦π¦
Thanks, Pat. The comments are what make posting worthwhile. π
Most definitely.
Ohhh! Itβs been ages since I got an award. Thanks so much, Richard *accepts gracefully*
This is a good excuse to do a fox related drawing (perfect for fall, too)! Iβll get to the drawing board!
An excuse to do a fox related drawing is never needed π
Oh and can I say, I always look forward to your comments on my post.
And by now, I think I have time frame I can expect it in π€
And they are always just that little more acknowledgement than just a βgreat postβ, or the like.
And I appreciate that, you canβt even imagine. Without a doubt, itβs always genuine. So thanks for that more than anything!
The acknowledgment is well-deserved, Andrea, and I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond.
I hope I’m not TOO predictable! I may have to start replying to your posts at random times, just to mix things up. π
Hahah, it might have something to do with me being a very routine based person. So my posting schedule doesnβt changr much.
I prefer every dayto be same and potential adventures have to be plannedπ€
i have heard not many people donβt expect that from me. But I am all about the monotone and βboringβ life.
That could be a post in the future π€
