Meditating in nature is such a unique experience. I find it clears my head, refreshes me, and inspires me.
Transcendental Musings
I recline on a grassy hilltop and inhale
the sweet scent of cherry blossoms.
A gentle wind stirs the branches and
white petals drift like snow.
I close my eyes as they fall around me,
covering me like a soft sigh,
pushing my body back into the cool earth
as my spirit drifts upward,
slowly,
cautiously,
into the blue unknown.
A gust of wind comes along to reshuffle my
house of white blooms.
It catches my spirit and carries it aloft,
higher and higher,
further and further,
until I am once again back where I started
but I am not the same.
I am cleansed,
renewed,
reborn.
Om.
Do you meditate? If not, what do you do to clear your head?

Yes! ✨
I love blossoming trees. Later today I’m going to take a walk through my neighborhood, admiring the trees that are in flower. The walk will relax me and improve my mood!
That’s great to hear, mate! Hope you have a wonderful walk. Cheers!
Wonderfully penned
I simply loved it.
Thanks so much, Luisa! 🪷
You’re more than welcome ❣️
Beautiful Contemplative poem, Richard.
Thank you, Pat!
Ahh, I wish I could get to the stage of your poem.
And lord knows I tried.
But I can get very distracted.
Sudden itch every 10 seconds, need to go to the toilet, that annoying mosquito.
But in all fairness, this usually happens in the evening, when I have high expectations and hope to fall asleep.
It usually works better during the day, when I really just want to take a few deep breathes and calm down 🙂
Sometimes, just a few deep breaths is all it takes. But I completely understand. It took me quite a bit of practice to be able to meditate deeply for extended periods (thirty minutes to an hour). Wishing you a peaceful and calm week, my friend!
